Shatter the Shield

Our villain against all ignition coils has a lethal plan: to shatter the ignition coil’s shield. The villain’s goal is simple: compromise the structure and waste the power. Once one coil suffers this fate, the others are close behind.

It begins with overheating, but the true damage is revealed within. The Heatwave aims to destroy the coil’s ability to protect itself, causing two types of system-wide failure: delamination and ground shorts.

DELAMINATION

The heat shatters the protective internal insulation. When the coil’s shield cracks and delaminates, electricity jumps where it shouldn’t, causing an internal short.

GROUND SHORTS

The high-voltage current is forced out of the intended path, flowing uselessly to the engine’s ground via a broken wire or failed diode.

WHO IS THE HEATWAVE?

A new villain ignites beneath the hood. Meet The Heatwave. Armed with relentless temperature spikes, The Heatwave attacks where your engine is most vulnerable — your ignition coils.
